“Maidenhair Trio” was one of the items for sale in Nature Canada’s “Together for Nature” online auction, from February 17 to March 3, 2026. A walk in Cathedral Grove (Macmillan Provincial Park) on Vancouver Island inspired me to create this piece. Made with paper and acrylic, “Maidenhair Trio” is mounted on three separate but related wood panels. This trio portrays the delicate and lacy maidenhair ferns I discovered at the beginning, middle, and end of my walk through the forest.
J.C. in Stratford, Ontario, made the top bid on ‘Maidenhair Trio’. Thanks so much, J.C., for your generous support of wildlife in Canada!
